I was traveling to India from SF. The Trunkie did not last even till Hongkong, where my connecting flight was. One of the loop to put the strap in broke and so did one of the foot. My 3 year old did not care. She loved it and called it her Terrance. Airport ride was better with it and so many people asked about it. I told them as I am writing here, it is a great design, good idea but badly made product.
I would love to get an exchange, but nobody returns your call when you call Trendy kidz. I hope they read this review and give me a call back.

Great price and on time delivery - the Trendykid Trunki is not only useful for my four year old son to take on his frequent trips to Japan with his mother, but it is a favorite "ride around" toy when he's not traveling and holds all of his Hotwheels collection. He loves it.

I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old son because I was tired of having all his "stuff" co-mingled with mine in my carry-on. The suitcase (or play-case) arrived today and though I expected it to be larger, I'd say I am pretty satisfied with it. The quality is pretty much what I expected. My son is in the 90th+ percentile for height so there is no way he'll be riding on this thing but it does fit all his toys, games and books nicely. I'm sure he'll enjoy sitting on it at any rate.

The case I ordered from Amazon has an elasticized pocket on the inside as well as straps to hold large soft items (like a blanket or teddy) in place. Anything else, like small toys, crayons or books will not be contained so packing them in ziploc bags would help. It is made of a hard plastic like material, not something that one should check but perfectly strong enough to be used as a carry on.

The case has a plastic/metal turn lock (and plastic key) that should keep the case securely closed. It has a nylon tote handle and long strap should you want to wear it on your shoulder. I'm 5'10" with a penchant for large shoulder bags and this is about the size of my largest bag. It is boxy and hard but not to cumbersome for me to carry. Of course, the long handle also unhooks if you want to drag it along. Unless you are way over six feet tall, I think the length works fine.

I'll upload the photos later but inside the case my son has the following items: 1 handheld video game, 2 "Toys" model cars, a Tag reader and 3 Tag books, Tag flipcards, 2 Nintendo DS games, 4 mini Play Dough containers, a notebook, crayons, a writing pad, headphones, a container of mini "Cars" toys, a coloring book and a slim paperback sticker book. I just threw the stuff in and didn't pack it nicely (like my own luggage.) Everything fit well, the case secured closed without any effort and it was still pretty light with room for more items.

I must add that it just arrived so we haven't seen it in action but I am pleased with the purchase so far.
